Am I the only one?
This is the question we have in the late hours and the lonely hours and the witching hours before dinner. We question ourselves, our worth, our sanity, and how all those moms on Instagram and Pinterest make it look so easy. (Reality? Those moms have these moments too. They do.)
They tell you motherhood is hard, but you really can’t see it until you are holding a crying newborn in the middle of the night with spit-up somehow inside your pajama top and it’s dark and you are so tired and you don’t know why your baby is crying and you just feel SO DANG ALONE.
I remember crying in those nights, unsure if it was okay to wake my sleeping husband or if I should call my mom twelve states away. My baby cried and I cried and we cried together and eventually fell asleep only to wake up and do it all over again.
You are not alone. You are not the only one. We are in this thing together. Here is how I KNOW that you are not alone: all these posts and resources from moms all over. Bookmark, pin, or stick this post on your Facebook wall so that in those middle of the night moments, you can remember:
YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Here are my favorite posts that I think will encourage you and then a HUGE list from all over the web of friends and fellow bloggers that will help give a boost to your day. Forget the Mommy Wars and our different birth choices and life choices and let’s remember we are in this thing together, not alone.
