Do you know your calling?
Do you feel like everyone HAS a calling?
If people do have callings, does that mean a vocation? A hobby? A passion? Some combination of the three?
When I had my first son, I found myself struggling for meaning in my life. I’ve always been very driven. Not necessarily for some kind of top-tier job or powerful position, but more driven to create and to connect. I’m always up to SOMETHING. (Read more about that creative drive!) A new baby brought into question this idea of calling. Instead, my life felt like a circle that, if it was productive, had no way of measuring success.
I wondered: was I called to be a mother? If so, did that mean that my other calls to write and to create needed to be put on hold? Did I have one calling or many? And where was my identity wrapped up in it all?
I turned to the Bible for answers and, as often happens, found answers that were not quite what I had expected. Out of these questions and that time of study, I wrote a book: There Is No Small Call. I taught it as a Bible study for different groups in my home church and then led an online group through it as well. This summer I am teaching it again at my church and wanted to start the online study as well.
BUT! This will not just be any study. I will be creating an audio for each week that you can listen to here. I am updating the study book and the full book itself. (Stay tuned for that!) Sign up for this special list to get an email every time a new post and audio is live.
For a taste of what you’re getting, you can listen to this teaser about the study here!
