Valentines Day looked a little like this: a pacifier in my cookie icing. Whoops. Every year, Lynn made everyone in the family a single iced cookie with his or her name on it. Clearly this is something we all missed because I think three or four different families made iced cookies. I made my tried and true recipe (though Rob likes his mom’s better) but didn’t let the icing dry and so had some runny names. Well. On the cookies withOUT pacifiers in them, that is. So, really, a runny name is not so bad.
Then Rob took me out for an early dinner, but it being a Saturday AND Valentines Day, there were 50 people waiting outside restaurants at 4:45pm. Plus traffic. I got so hangry that this conversation happened.
Me: We need to get out of this parking lot and find another restaurant NOW. I’m filled with rage. I’m going to have a stroke. Or a heart attack. Or kill someone. And you are the closest person, so it might be you.
We ended up eating a FABULOUS dinner at Seoul Garden, a Korean place that I went to a few weeks ago to celebrate the fabulous photographer Danny Nguyen’s birthday. Rob loved it! And the food comes out in like one minute because you grill it yourself at the table. (Bonus points: fire.) No wait, end of hangry, and grilling your own rib eye. BOOM.
Plus these adorable ice cream sundae sets:
How was YOUR Valentines Day? Hopefully filled with less hangriness and rage.
