Recently I got an email from a blog I subscribed to with a link for preparing your blog post for optimal impact. This sounded great, so I clicked through only to find a checklist with something like 100 questions. While I’m SURE you could make an amazing blog post if you followed all the suggestions, AIN’T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT. So today is all about helping you blog without sucking away all your time (or your soul). Download my short and simple blog post checklist HERE.
It is very bare bones, but takes into account some of the big things I’ve hit on through the series like keywords, images, and internal/external links. Snag that HERE. Today’s small task IS small, like today’s post. (Because for REAL, I went from tiny, bite-sized posts to mammoth ones. Tomorrow will also be larger. Get excited!!) Here you go:
In addition to being intentional with your posts, you want to be intentional with your time, don’t you? Here is another checklist of how you can spend your time. I have found recently that I need a timer on or I will lose HOURS into the black hole of the internet. And I don’t have hours to waste, do you? Here is a printable for managing that online time suck. And you better BELIEVE that I will be using this. I’m sick of the internet taking over my life!
This sheet totals one hour. These are great practices for every day, but you don’t HAVE to do them every day. Some of them will also overlap (like your tribe work and social shares/commenting). Break it up into several days if needed. Some of these are totally do-able while you’re binge-watching Netflix. Download it HERE.
Growing your blog doesn’t happen overnight or in 31 days. Growing your blog happens every day.(Click to Tweet) Each day is a new day to post, comment, connect, and share. These actions we’ve done for the past 31 days? You may not do every single one every single day, but many tasks will be repeated again and again. And then again. Growing your blog is not about writing amazing content. It’s about writing amazing content and then making sure people SEE your content and SHARE your content.
Tomorrow is our final day and we are going to be talking about something pretty important: WHY do you want to grow your blog?
