Sometimes you connect with someone on such a crazy level that before you even MEET, there is magic. Like this kind of magic.
I first started hearing about this Jackie person through several mutual friends and then we connected via Facebook. Then I left a DVD in my mailbox for her and she took it and left me cookies with a note that said “Feel better…Because Jesus needs you up and going to help make the world a little better…” I’m not sure if our mailman felt bad, but I had strep. In any case, I knew when we DID actually meet, that we already had the makings of a real friendship.
Jackie is a fabulously real person who runs a great ministry right out in the suburbs, gathering women to help feed kids who need good lunches and meeting once a month for a testimony and time of encouragement. She is also a writer and isn’t afraid to get right in the thick of it. Like THIS post, which I think is so important. And brave.
Today I am over on her blog writing about a fear I have. No, not heights. (That’s more of a phobia. Just ask my body when I’m up on a cliff.) I’ll give you a hint via this photo. And yes, I shaped spaghetti on my kitchen cabinet for this picture. Go read my post! And then stay for a while and read some of Jackie. You’ll love her.
