My husband Rob and I are VERY different. He loves sleep; I hate sleep. He loves eating healthy; I come from along line of sugar-holics. He is an auditory learner; I’m visual. But we have a few quirks that are quite similar. Both Rob and I sometimes like to do things just to see what would happen. For me, this looked like a year of refusing to wear jeans ever and an extended period of vegetarianism for no real reason. Or nine months of not shaving my legs just to see what would happen. (What happens is you get insanely hairy legs, by the way.) In the summer Rob likes to stop shaving or cutting his hair. Just…because. Thankfully, I was able to convince him to shave his face with a new Gillette Fusion Proglide. I’ll work on the hair later, but we are on the way to a #SmoothSummer!
Normally Rob shaves with an electric razor, but I snagged a Gillette Flexball Razor from Walmart. It gave him a fabulously close shave. I love it! Of course, in Rob fashion, he didn’t shave it all at one time. Historically, he likes to shave in stages. Leaving him with an assortment of, um, facial hair statements.
We’re quite a match, right?? Yes. Yes we are. But we still need to do something about that thing on his chin. So let’s get to it!
This summer he was tame and just shaved one half at a time. There’s something about the sound of a razor dragging across his face— I love it! And the final look reminds me of our wedding day. Though it wasn’t in our vows, I will take him for smoother or for hairier. If I had my preference, it would be with this close Gillette shave. Though a little scruff is okay too, just not the level of hairy he reached.
Calm down, ladies. CALM DOWN. Rob is spoken for, but you can snag a Gillette Flexball Razor for your man. Next up: I’m going to work on the 80s hair. While you’re here, leave a comment and tell me which is your favorite Rob look.Check out more faces of this #SmoothSummer on this Pinterest board!
