And if you like this post, you will most likely LOVE this post: 75 Ways to Use Coconut Oil. Coconut oil and essential oils are great together!!
I’ve been making very slow but steady changes to rid our house of unhealthy, chemical-filled products. (Check out my list of favorite green cleaning products!) Don’t even get me started on food, which is still my biggest struggle. If you’ve made similar efforts in your home, you know that this can be expensive and hard. I’ve been hearing about essential oils for years from good friends. I recently took the leap and became a wholesaler for Young Living Essential Oils. Essential oils are a great way to aid not only in health, but cutting down on expenses. NOT because the oils themselves are cheap—with oils, you get what you pay for in terms of quality—but because using them, you can create natural products at home that can replace store-bought items. And even with coupons, many of those store bought items are NOT cheap. I will be sure to share with you guys what is working for us!
Essential oils are packed with health benefits and a little goes a long way. Please avoid the oils you find in health food stores! Though they are readily available and inexpensive, they are prepared in a different way: diluted and with other chemicals. That matters, especially if the point is to cut down on chemicals and processing. Paired with other items like Coconut Oil, baking soda, or Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Soap, you can create a host of essential oil products for your home with ingredients you can pronounce and healthy benefits.
