Last week, Cooper turned 1. A whole year has gone by with a girl baby in our formerly boy-only home. It’s wild. SHE’S wild. Definitely our most dramatic and opinionated child—a true screamer who shouts when she is mad OR happy. We’re working on that. (At least, for the unhappy screaming part.) Now that she is walking 95% of the time, it’s like we have entered a fun, new world. She’s upright! She’s walking! Sometimes with a bottle of shampoo in one hand and a bottle of conditioner in the other because she likes to hold things while walking. Oh, you want to see her walking? Of COURSE you do. Because she is super fun. I’d like to call this one Attack of the Baby. You’ll see why.
Adorable, right? She’s wearing her birthday crown, which is really the first thing she has kept on her head since she was born. My parents brought it to her birthday and she loved it. This video was the day after and she kept bringing it to me to put on. I love it! Finally I can put her in bows. Not too many, of course. I personally HATED them. But I think girl-y head things are adorable and if she wants to wear them, I certainly will embrace it.
I really can’t believe it’s been a year. Here’s a photo in case you need a reminder. Okay, maybe a few reminders. So much happens in a year. And it’s hard to believe that in this year also, I’ve been growing a NEW baby that we are going to meet in just over two months. Insanity! But I also can’t wait. Sawyer and Lincoln can’t either, but based on the fact that Cooper physically assaults either boy when they sit in my lap and forcibly removes them, I’m not sure how well she is going to take this family transition. For now we will just focus on her cuteness.
