Y’all. Y’ALL. We are like three days away from putting our house on the market. Doesn’t seem like it from this photo, right? (You can read more in this week’s newsletter.) We have a shorter to-do list than we did a few days ago, but it’s still long. LONG. I definitely have caulk under my fingernails.
This week looks like this:
Monday– work our butts off
Tuesday– need to be done enough for a deep cleaning; first preview showing
Wednesday– photos for website and carpet cleaning
Thursday– hopefully 1 billion showings
Friday– sell our house? Saturday– find a new house
I know. That’s insane. All parts of it. Especially my goal. I’m not crossing my fingers, but I am hoping. In our neighborhood, that’s been how it’s gone recently, but you never know. Things were moving really well two years ago as well. So…eek.
Needless to say, I won’t be around much. But I’m hoping to pull together a post on Lent. I’ve got this 40 day plan I’m super excited to share with you guys! Are you doing anything for 40 days? Want to think about doing something for 40 days? I’m both doing something actively and giving something up? If so, I hope you’ll share.
If you want something to read, you can check out my ebook, Consider the Cross. It’s not going to punch you in the face with theology or rules. Instead, it will just ask you to consider. Look at and think about Jesus. That’s all. There is also a lovely and very different kind of book by the lovely Kris Camealy: Holey, Wholly, Holy. I do encourage you to read something, to think about something, and to really take some time to think.
As soon as I’m done with my house-selling, that’s what I’ll be doing: considering, giving, and giving up.
