The past week, Lynn has been in the hospital with a nasty infection that killed off her white blood cell count. The hard round of chemo she finished just before Christmas began taking its toll on her hair and Buck shaved it for her. I have to say that she looks adorable, but I imagine for any woman losing their hair from chemo, it’s just a hard, hard thing.
Lincoln is the most thrilled (other than Rob, since I generally veto head-shaving) and likes to ask people to pet him. I personally like petting all of them. Cooper still looks at them all like they’re convicts. Sawyer thinks he’s the Last Airbender and is waiting for us to draw a big arrow on his head. We’ll see about that.
The great news is that Lynn went home today from the hospital. AND? All of her tumors have shrunk, some of them as much as 90%. Amazing! She will be starting another round of chemo soon and you can read the latest update here, including how Buck tortured her with 8 football games while she was held prisoner in a hospital bed. I’m sure other than the abscess, that was the worst part of her stay. :)Thanks for all of the prayers and support for Lynn and our whole family. We feel very loved, and it’s amazing to know that even those of you who keep up with the blog and my online life but don’t know me in REAL life still care about our dear Mimi.
