Making Healthy Snacks from Outshine Fruit Bars

Recently I got to get creative with Outshine Fruit Bars as a part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®. Lucky me! These all fruit bars are delicious on their own, but the boys and I also had fun going stickless to have playful, healthy snacks.

A few ways to eat frozen fruit bars off the stick! #shopThis is Texas. November in Texas means break out the hoodies and maybe a pair of socks, but mostly we’re still in flip flops and shorts. On these lovely fall days that look nothing like fall, the light feels summery and a frozen fruit bar on the back patio is the perfect healthy snack for the afternoon.

Outshine Frozen Fruit Bars #shopI tried Creamy Coconut because I’m a sucker for all things coconut, and the boys tried Mango and Açai Blueberry. I felt not one bit bad eating these on the patio in the middle of the week because they’re made with real fruit or fruit juice and no high fructose corn syrup. Vitamin C, baby! The best is when something tastes good and also has good stuff to redeem it. Oh, and I also like pretty colors. (None of which come from some kind of weird #5 or anything.)Outshine Frozen Fruit Bars are a healthy snack year-round, especially in Texas. #shopYou know I can’t leave well enough alone, so a frozen fruit bar to me is a springboard. Next up, we tried a frozen fruit bowl. I will warn you that toothpicks are a challenge (unless you let them get really melty), but spoons are great. Fingers too.

You know Sawyer likes something when he makes THIS face.

Making a frozen fruit bowl with Outshine Frozen Fruit bars. #shop Because fruit is good all day long, we used the Outshine Fruit Bars as the base for a yummy breakfast smoothie. We paired 3 bars, 2 frozen bananas, milk and about 1/4 cup of chia seeds for a breakfast we all enjoyed! Sawyer requested mango and I used one coconut water with banana. If you’ve never used chia seeds, they are a great source of protein and add a little crunch, almost like what you’d get with strawberry seeds or blackberry seeds. I bought mine in bulk at a local organic grocer.

There’s that face again. Sawyer approved.

Who knew frozen fruit bars would be a great smoothie starter? These were killer. And got us through soccer, where Sawyer played on the field, Lincoln off, and Rob and I tried to juggle Cooper and taking photos and cheering for Sawyer.

There are a lot of reasons that I’m happy to live in Texas. The fact that there’s no off-season for something like Frozen Fruit Bars? The best. Try this healthy snack off the stick as a smoothie or cut up in a frozen fruit bar. #shop

Have you tried an Outshine #RealFruitBar? What’s your favorite flavor?
