Last week I visited my best friend Ginny in Newport News. It was one of those weird visits: she had lockjaw and Cooper got super fussy and sick from me eating a sandwich full of onions. But we had a great time, and even in her living room, she took these amazing photos of Cooper. Even in the living room, while we were just hanging and watching HGTV. If you’re in the area, contact me and I’ll get you in touch with her for photos. She rocks.
And I took this photo that I love, but on my less amazing camera. I’m inspired to get better from these photos from Ginny.
The reality is: Cooper is adorable. I often think babies look a little squirrely. I was prepared to think that about mine. But whether it’s all the hair or the fact that she’s my baby, I love this little girl’s face. Love her, love her face.
After all that traveling, she did a great job in the car. I thought she might scream at the sight of her car seat after 24-ish hours each way. Nope. Still rides well in the car.
As far as how much changed in a week? She learned to grab for toys, talk, and began losing her hair. So she will soon be less cute, but smarter. Just like her mother.
